A life with the Beatles - Chapter 7
USA TOUR PART 1 - ARRIVAL, PRESS CONFERENCE & FANS
By early morning of February 7th the departure to America had started. Cynthia borrowed me one of her suitcases in which I packed in my whole clothes. She accompanied us. Today was the check-out from the hotel.
Ringo: Come on, guys! Or else we're getting late.
Brian ordered several cabs for the luggage and the whole crew and we stored our togs away. When we arrived at the Heathrow Airport, there were already millions of fans.
Me: (thinking) What could you have expected.
We stopped right at the airfield. Ringo put his hat on me.
Ringo: So the fans don't become suspicious, we disguise you.
When we got out I had the feeling to went deaf. I've never heard such screams in my life. Maybe on a Linkin Park concert, but not at THAT volume! The staircase which lead into the plane was already built up.
John: Get inside while we say goodbye.
The singer shooed Cynthia and me into the safe airplane and we looked for a seat. Through the window I

A car was honking behind us. We stopped and turned around. A limousine pulled up at the pavement on our side. The window of the passenger door was cranked down. Brian Epstein showed.
Brian: There you are, we were looking for you the whole time. Where have you been?
John: We just went shopping for our new friend here. Could she get accommodation at our place?
Brian eyed me suspiciously before he beckoned John over. Although they talked quietly, I could hear what they said:
Brian: You went shopping for a fan and now you want to take her along? Have you gone mad?
John: She's not a fan. She's from Germany and maybe she wants to stay here for a while. Come on.
Brian: All right, then. Get in the car, we're going to the hotel.
John opened the backdoor.
John: Ladies first.
I threw my bags and the shoe boxes on the seats and sat down. John, Paul, George and Ringo squashed in, too. When we took off, Brian turned to me.
Brian: What's your name?
Me: Alexa Dark.

HAVE A CUP OF TEA & SHOPPING WITH THE BEATLES
Our destination was "Mary's café". As was the English custom they gave the women the advantage. We sat down at a big table. Ringo and John took their hats off and then there was the waitress.
Waitress: What would you like to order?
George: Five cups Earl Grey, please.
The woman wrote something down on her pad and waltzed off, thanking. I looked around with curiosity. It was not very full up for a café. The establishment was rather big. There were wooden tables everywhere with the suitable chairs, on the walls there pretty pictures of the city London hanging, ever and anon there were even pictures of some celebrities who seemed to be guests, too. Innerly I still couldn't believe that I ACTUALLY ended up in the year 1964 and was ACTUALLY sitting with the Beatles in a café and was drinking tea. Paul sat right in front of me and every time when I looked at him, he smiled at me. Once he gave me a wink which made my heart beat even faster. Eith

I stopped to rub my head abruptly and saw George, Paul and Ringo behind him. They looked worried down at me. John held out his hand.
John: Are you hurt?
Like in slow motion I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up.
Me: Err...No, I'm all right. Thank you. Maybe it's just a little bump...
The boys wore all long black coats. John wore his famous leather hat and Ringo his cord hat from "A hard day's night". I saw how George, Ringo and Paul looked at each other, confused. They probably thought I was a hysterical fan who would recognize and beg them for an autograph. I whisked off the dirt on my clothes and reaped new glances again which observed me from top to bottom. Paul grinned:
Paul: Groovy clothes.
I looked down at me and blushed.
John: I agree. Did you take the clothes from your brother?
They all roared with laughter at which I blushed even more. Actually I found it rather embarrassing, but as I came from the future it wasn't my fault. I grinned weakly and conjured up an e

JUST A DREAM?
I was woken by loud noises. There was the sound of rattling high heels, barking dogs and honking cars. I grumpled irritated and opened my eyes, blinking. But now I noticed that my cheeks were snuggled against something cold. Something hard. Before my very eyes was a bustle of women in mini skirts, hippie clothes and men in suits and bowler hats...Huh?! Wait a minute! Women in hippie clothes and men in suits and bowler hats?! Suddenly I was wide awake and sat up. I wasn't lying in my bed anymore but on a pavement. And that in a region I've never been before. This wasn't Berlin. Sometimes I raised a few warily or strange glances of the people. But the scariest thing was...that everyone spoke English. Okay, in Berlin you can always find a few tourists from England, America or other countries that are using this language. But the most important question was: Where the hell was I? Was this a dream? On the pavement were lots of antique cars parking that doesn't exist nowadays a

At the moment I still have fortnight holidays until school starts again. In the first two weeks I was in Hamburg on a visit at my older friend Chantal. By the help of me she became a Beatle fan, too. Since 2005 she was - hold your hat - a Tokio Hotel fan. She was very wild about Bill Kaulitz, but after she noticed that my taste of music has changed mighty, she sampled from the Beatles, too. Hard to believe: She liked the songs so much that she completely forgot who Tokio Hotel were. As if somebody brainwashed her (The same thing happened to me...). Her personal favourite was Ringo Starr. She loved his blue eyes so much that they made her heart feel warm all over.
She bought every album and movie by the Beatles that were still available in the Media Markt, and watched and heard everything.
Chantal: Hey Alex! Shall we watch "Help!"?
She brought out the DVD with the cover of the Beatles and the giant title "Help!". We watched it back to back in German and then in Eng
A life with the Beatles - Chapter 1
In this story I'm gonna tell you how I was "teleported" mysteriously to the 60s. Accidentally I ended up in London and met the most famous band of music history: The Beatles! The boys and me became very close friends and they always took me along with them. And it didn't take long until I fell in love with Paul McCartney, the pretty bass player. Back in March 1964 I joined them on a funny train ride to Minehead. Early in February 1965, Ringo received a ring as a gift which not only endangered him but even all of us. In 1967 we dared a "heady" Magical Mystery Tour bus trip and then some.
But already after a few weeks from my appearance I was beset with evil nightmares and visions until I realised the reason for my sudden time travel: I had to prevent the disbandment of the Beatles and the killing of John Lennon on December 8th 1980!
